Reading Sounds: A new book and website on closed captioning

Reading Sounds book cover

Check out Reading Sounds, my new book on closed captioning. The supplemental website at ReadingSounds.net includes over 500 video examples discussed in the book.

In the spring of 2012, I stopped updating this site and put all of my energy into writing the book that this site made possible. Reading Sounds: Closed-Captioned Media and Popular Culture grew directly out of the blog posts on this site.

On the eve of the book’s release in paperback and ebook versions , I want to invite visitors to this site to check out the supplemental website for the book at http://ReadingSounds.net.

ReadingSounds.net includes over 500 video clips and a number of images and tables from the book. The website also includes new blog posts, such as this post on artful subtitles in Night Watch.

Visit ReadingSounds.net.
